    L-Theanine is an amino acid found in tea leaves and first identified by Japanese scientists in 1949. It promotes relaxation and sleep by elevating levels of GABA, seratonin and dopamine neurotransmitters that help regulate emotions, mood, concentration alertness and relaxation, as well as energy, appetite, and other cognitive skills. It is believed to have an effect on reducing levels of chemicals like coricosterone that are linked to memory loss, stress and anxiety and age related cognitive damage.  L-theanine also appears to trigger the release of alpha-waves, which enhances relaxation, focus, and creativity  without sedating.14 † 

    Vitamin B-6 (as Pyridoxine HCI) is required for the proper function of sugars, fats, and proteins in the body.
